“HDP GREEN” is simply what the name implies! At the time this page was created  the high for the day was 56 degrees and it reached 93 degrees only 3 days later. It really hit home and just confirms, WE NEED TO SERIOUSLY pay attention to the environment and become more green. We’ve destroyed and continue to destroy enough daily!

HDP GREEN will be a collection of the very much available information found online!! All you need to do is search “Go Green” and you will find what you need, but until you take the initiative to do it on your own, HDP will supply things we find!

Christmas is naturally a green season. From the red, gold, and “green” of the season colors, to the “green” of the Christmas trees and holidays wreaths, so why not enhance of the “green” of the season even more. Now immediately you may say, but a “plastic” tree is reusable, not a live tree. HDP Green :: VAMPIRE ENERGY!

Beware of the VAMPIRES . . . no not the True Blood Vampires, Energy Vampires, those things that suck your energy while you’re sleeping! Vampire Energy is actually ‘Standby Power” and refers to the electric power used by devices while switched off or in standby mode. While standby power usage may be low, many household appliances are NEVER fully turned off. Cable boxes, digital recorders consume the most in standby. Anything with a remote control, touch pad, or clock uses power even when it’s off, because it’s in standby mode – example: for the remote sensor to work, the device has to “detect” when the remote is pushed. Devices like hair dryers, coffeemakers (without a clock), toaster ovens, etc that have a physical off switch (which breaks the power circuit when switched), should not be consuming any standby power.
