50 Cent’s Headphone Launch & Signing of “DJ PAULY”

50 Cent is getting his dollar’s worth. In the past couple of weeks, he’s won rave reviews for “All Things Fall Apart”, announced partnership with Feeding America, working on a new album, signing new artist, and of course launching his new line of high-fidelity headphones.

Street by 50 (wired) & Synch by 50 (wireless) are  available now for $299.95 and $399.95 respectively. When asked about being a direct competitor to Dr Dre Beats by Dr Dre, he told TechCrunch.com “I want people to hear music the way I hear it initially.” (For a review on the headphone click here). These headphones however are much more than just that. Feeling the need to give back, 50 states, “. . . for every pair of headphones sold, 250 meals are being provided, for all domestic sales in-store and at smsaudio.com.” He hopes that if he is able to influence his peers by his charitable print, others like Puffy, Jay Z will as well.

As if that wasn’t enough, Rolling Stone spoke to 50 at the launch and inquired about his signing of DJ Pauly to G-Note Records. His response? “When I sat with him, I saw the opportunities we could have moving forward, with brand extension and packaging the music. I call him “the bridge.” He’s going to be something between what you would get from a DJ Khaled or a DJ Drama and what you would get from David Guetta.”

Wait . . . all this isn’t enough, coming up on his 10 yr anniversary of his 1st mixtape 50 Cent Is the Future, 50 will be releasing the Big 10 on Friday.

50 is definitely making his cents work.
