Reaching popularity on Digicel’s Rising Stars in 2008, 2011 brings the Jamaican Reggae/RnB group Kahlil back with a vengeance. With a hit new song, “Gonna Be Sorry” produced by Grammy nominated Hip Hop producer J Vibe, Kahlil is ready capture the ears of the Caribbean and the world.
The single “Your Gonna Be Sorry” is an original track written by Zemroy Lewis and performed by group members Delly, Wayne, Blain and Que who all came together to deliver beautiful harmonies on the seductive crossover version which is sure to find favor with the ladies especially with Valentine’s Day right around the corner.
An official video for “Your Gonna Be Sorry” was also shot in Miami and LA by famed Jamaican actor Paul Campbell and is due out later this week. Campbell who stared in Third World Cop and co-stared in Shottas alongside Spragga Benz and Kymani Marley also makes a major cameo in the video which can best be described as a drama packed short film.
Currently managed by Garnett Newman, Kahlil spent the last months in 2010 on tour in the U.S with international comedian and TV personality Cedric The Entertainer and is now back in the island to promote and build a strong fan base throughout the Caribbean with Jamaica being the first point of contact.
